If you own and operate a small to medium sized business, you are undoubtedly used to doing the jobs of many different skilled employees. On any given day you might play the role of an IT professional, a receptionist, a tea brewing expert and an accountant! As skilled bookkeepers, we know that your time is often stretched thin by your myriad commitments, and so we want to be able to help you keep your money organised in as many ways as possible. Here are some handy accounting apps that can help you keep on top of your books.

  • Expensify – Travelling for business, whether it is your day to day grind or an annual trip, is exhausting enough without having to keep track of receipts in flimsy envelopes. Expensify is a fantastic way to log your expenses and track your business spending – you can even link it to your credit or debit card to ensure nothing gets lost or forgotten.
  • Paypal – You have probably used this website to buy concert tickets or bid on an item on Ebay, but Paypal is ideal for small businesses. You can use Paypal to pay vendors, request money from clients and even generate and keep track of professional invoices, all from your computer or app.
  • Nutcache – Nutcache is a free app with paid options – it has a whole host of features that will allow you to manage projects, collaborate with others, generate invoices and manage your expenses. Incredibly useful – it doesn’t get more handy than this.Talk to your bookkeeper or accountant to see if they have any other suggestions for great apps that will make your accounting process more simple – and even kind of fun!
